This strikes me, not as funny nor as the oft quoted "Eureka!"
Rather it is of the nature of arise and awaken, you are needed again...
George Washington was faced with something similar when asked to be president... "Have I not yet done enough for my country?"
He rose again to serve his country.
I rarely seem to get called on like George Washington, or even Jesus to help or assist others... It seems to me that I have to go looking for opportunity to assist... That's when I'm in the mood to do so.
You see, I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder... Since serving as a boy and cub scout leader, my headaches got worse, my arthritis more painful and my moods out of control.
It feels like a long journey from then till now. I know the Lord puts things in front of us as we need them... I don't know why the mood disorder, but He did put a YouTube video logger's journal in my path one day.
After a day and a half of watching ALL of this person's videos, I really wondered if that wasn't the cause of my mood problems. The first doctor I saw for the problem helped me a little, with antidepressants... The next and current, agreed that I was probably bipolar and added a mood stabilizer drug to the antidepressants.
A week later I was working really hard again, I was nicer to be around, I wasn't staying awake for days and I wasn't often sleeping "all the time".
I still ride the roller coaster of emotions and mood but they are manageable for me and I'm starting to go look for things... Again, when I'm in the mood.
My younger sister and her husband sent me a video about a man named Ephraim Hanks.
Unlike me, he didn't grow up in the church. Unlike me, he didn't have his name given to his mother prior to his birth, or as is oft seen in scripture "I knew thee while thou were yet in the womb."
I grew up being reminded of that all the time it seems like... Something I've never forgotten, and didn't really pay attention to until I was in my mid twenties.
My primary days at church weren't my favorite nor were the years that followed... Even after getting endowed in the temple, I don't think I appreciated anything so much as I did when I finally read the New Testament all the way through. Which the Book of Mormon followed again quickly after then the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of great a Price.
What wonderful and joyous books of Scripture I found! It only took me some twenty years to read and find that out myself.
After my divorce, and before this great revolution I under went
