Thoughtful or Judgemental???

Within one of my prior posts, I noted how I wanted to give my uncle a blessing.

The person from church, that I was told to contact to go with me and assist, went with another brother, without calling me.

Instead, he called me this afternoon telling me he had done the deed.

I appreciate that he did this, however, I wanted to be involved. Whether I did the anointing or blessing, it didn't matter, or even if I didn't participate, I wanted to be present.

My uncle, obviously and despite his grumpiness, is a large and important part of my life.

The person whom I called, in the past, has been VERY judgmental of me, and I didn't think one iota of this when I called him, I was doing as the Bishop directed.

As in other parts of my blog, I will never mention this individual by name. After all, I don't want this to be the center for rumors in my area.

I don't know if this individual was purposely avoiding me or not. When I thought about the situation, I was very mad & upset.

Since I had been reading through the New Testament lately, and I'm finally in Mark, after having finished off Matthew, I remember a scripture there.

Matthew 18:15
15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
I called him up within 30 minutes and told him that I was upset about the way he did things.  That he couldn't wait for me, the way I asked him to.  That it didn't matter who did provided the blessing, I just wanted to be there to observe the rite being provided to my uncle.

My requests were not because I wanted to persuade things one way or another, but in a way I was seeking the peace of mind/spirit so often provided to everyone in attendance.

A bless isn't necessarily a thing that is hidden from the everyone at all, but it is more that the start of the blessing is opened, stating by whose authority and priesthood you are going to use.  In this case, it is God's priesthood power, and in the name of Jesus, is the blessing given. (See John 14:13)
NONE OF THIS IS VERBATIM, IT IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE, TO SIMPLIFY THE WORDS USED.

Each person who delivers a priesthood blessing usually delivers a similarity of that start to a blessing.  Then the individual will begin to bless the person receiving the blessing with things that he is thinking of, or more important, bless the individual by direction of the Holy Ghost.

I don't know how many of you out there, that read my blog, actually care about matters like this, or want to hear further about them.

Please satisfy my curiosity, and leave a comment here.

Thank you,
