Yesterday, the weather/day went from really frumpy to almost summer.
Temps in the sun close to 70+, with a very nice wind.
I took my birthday kite out and a new winder from Wal-Mart and let the kite have all the line from the winder.
The winder/spool had close to 200' or more of line, so that kite really got up there and it took a bit to hold onto. The wind was really pulling hard.
I should have brought my stunt kite, as the wind would've allowed for me to do some pretty awesome tricks.
The kids & wife came soon after I got there, bringing our two dogs.
One daughter brought a boomerang and was getting pretty good at throwing it, so that it would make the arc and almost return. Now this boomerang is the one I made last week, and I'd rather that she had one that was returning better to play with, but she wasn't upset about it.
The dogs were thrilled and my wife enjoyed watching everyone playing/enjoying themselves. Especially me. She's never really seen me feeling good for a while.
My knees hurt some, but the cortisone shot I got on Friday seemed to help out with the pain/inflammation.
Then we did some shopping, and ended the evening watching Hellboy & eating ice cream. :)
It was a good night.
