Sane to bat shit crazy in just 1.5 seconds... (Uncle Update)

On Saturday evening, my uncle went from eating dinner, to just standing up and walking (Walking! he normally uses his wheel chair to get around), to the parking lot to look for his car since he had a date with his wife.

Let's put more of this into content... He hasn't owned a car in over a year, and now he's also officially given up his driving privileges at the DMV.  Lastly, his wife passed on around six to seven years ago.

So to recap all the "fun" events of Saturday, he:
  • Followed staff around thinking they were his wife.
  • Tried putting his keys into electrical outlets.
  • Attempted to enter the wrong room(s)/apartment(s) where he lives.
  • Kicked me as he thought I was part of the conspiracy/game trying to keep him tied down there in his assisted living facility.
  • Didn't think that he lived at the assisted living facility.
  • Tried to bite one of the staff at his home.
  • Went to ER at the local hospital and pulled off the "Sane Man" routine, only to go bat shit crazy again at home, less than 5 minutes after being sent home.
  • Argued with local police that he didn't live there and that his room was all a "gimmick".
  • Threatened others who lived at the home.
  • Tried to eat sugar packets at the table in the dining room as chips.
  • Tried to use those little sugar packet containers as a cup. (Of course, when he was in the hospital in January, he also tried to drink from a urinal too. However, thank goodness no urinal was close by Saturday night.)
  • Didn't want to understand from me, that he was going to be sent to the "funny farm" if he didn't stop.
What finally happened, late that night, was that my wife's brother in law, who's an RN and I should quit ragging on, got my uncle to sleep.

We finally decided that he was fully asleep after 20-30 minutes of waiting, and we both went home.

Sunday, he didn't have any problems that I know of.

He called me because he has a Chemo appointment this afternoon around 4:30PM.

I really don't know WTF to expect these days from him.

When I'm driving him there, I don't want him to go fuckin' bananas and try to jump out of the car, or to try to hurt me... I'm afraid if I defend myself I'm really going to hurt him.

I know I'm much, much stronger than I used to be, and he's a very frail old bastard...
