Last night, my family and I went for a short trip to retrieve a wheel chair for my uncle.
The wheel chair is one of many that are loaned out from an organization my wife belongs to, it is also where we retrieved a shower chair & walker for my Uncle to use.
For some reason, and it's not always her, but my wife usually is the one who sets off my "pissed off" meter and causes it to ratchet up.
Thinking about last night, I believe that I was trying to calm down & unwind from work last night.
There were multiple things going on, and I think my wife was worrying about everything that I needed to do as well as her own stuff. In the long and short of things, it irritates me to no end, and ratchets up my "pissed off" meter.
Prior to leaving the house, I wanted to ensure that we ate dinner, the kids had their homework done, etc. In a way I was hoping to go solo to get it. I think that I knew I was on the edge of the "pissed off" meter getting ramped up and going/doing things alone is easier on me mentally.
I don't know if this makes sense to anyone...
We retrieved the chair and on the way home, just down the road, we stopped to see my in-laws. My wife's mom was not feeling well and had already gone to bed.
I wasn't mad at anyone, but I felt very edgy and tried hard to not show it to my father in law or kids or wife.
My wife picked up on it on the way home from her parents' house.
She began to go over everything that I needed to do, again (she does this where she goes over things repetitively).
Not just mine, but her things too.
When she realized I was in a ramped up "pissed off" state, she offered to have the kids take care of the cat box. (one of the things she wanted me to do.)
I told her to just leave me alone and I'd take care of it, when I got the other things done.
When I told her this, I really had to insist, and she finally backed down and understood to quit pushing.
Well, I got things done when I got home, just the way I was going to. Unplugged the battery charger from an older car, scooped the cat box, then sat in my recliner to read/relax.
