He's a coming home.

My uncle is coming "home" today.

Rather, he's going to his "home" today, which is at an assisted living facility, where he has his own apartment.

He is very excited.

In the past 30 minutes or so, he called me twice.  First time was to figure out what the heck was going on, and why wasn't he home already?

Next was after I told him to figure out if I could pick him up now or if they had another plan for him to get over there.  (He didn't know that I had already talked to the nursing home where he's been at, and they arranged transportation for him already.)

We have a loaner wheel chair for him to use from now on, so that way he doesn't need to buy or rent one.

He is very excited, and if I could figure out a way to celebrate for/with him, I will. (He's diabetic and can't move a lot, but he's very excited.)

The nursing home suggested that we get him a set of 1 lb wrist/ankle weights for his hands, and they help him eat better.  This is probably because he also has Parkinson's disease and his hands shake plenty.

That's enough of an update about my Uncle.
