During a phone call I had with a coworker in another state, my uncle called and left a message on my cell phone.
He said he's going to be able to go home tomorrow! (Thursday... I think... My sense of dates/times gets really messed up sometimes.)
I need to go out and pick up a wheel chair from a the meeting hall for a community group that my wife belongs to.
So, with that, all I need to do is get a car to pick him and the stuff he has over there up with, and I'm in good shape.
My car needs to go into the shop. The check engine light is on, and the computer analysis stuff on cars is beyond my mechanical skills with a car these days.
Hey, changing oil, filters, alternators, various pumps, etc, I can do... but when cars started going into the computerized world, I have a harder time.
Now, I bet you're going... But Jared, you're a software developer!
Well, that is true, but I don't have time to learn every computerized environment that I use. A coworker of mine does that and he's still the typical nerd. No wife/girlfriend, but he knows all sorts of technical stuff and can do amazing things with his knowledge...
Unlike my coworker, I can survive in the woods with just a knife... :)
