Well, I don't know if it's exactly a mood slump, or a motivational slump.
I feel tired now, even though as previously stated I felt that I had plenty enough sleep to keep going.
So, now WTF do I do?
I got started on the security stuff, and I understand parts of it.. but now my mind feels like mush.
I'm supposed to get the kids from school soon, and I still haven't had a shower since Sunday. (Hey, shutUP! Poop comes out of your butt too!)
With the exception of the nitty gritty crevices & what not on the human body, if a person doesn't necessarily sweat a lot, a person isn't completely dirty.
A few years ago, I'd probably have gagged at the thought of not showering as much as I have gotten into.
Often, when I don't shower, it's because it's along the lines of "Oh crap! I gotta get to work!" or "Well, start work now and finish early", etc. etc... Then when I really get into work, and find that I'm working through supper or really close to supper time, I will stop and eat.
Then watch a show with the family... By the time everyone's ready for bed (i.e. the bathroom with the shower will be empty of women folk.. (I have a wife & two girls who just walk in and out of there all the time they're home)) I am too tired to shower, so I just go to bed.
Some days, I feel that I'm just rolling out of bed to work, then rolling into bed when I'm done.
In many ways, I don't have any desire for my hobbies... I haven't touched my wood working tools in months to a year now. I mean, I use them when I'm fixing somethings, but I don't go out and do it for fun.
The same has happened to practicing my banjo, polishing stones, cutting stones for jewelry, playing my flute (which I made), building kites, etc. etc.
Right now, I'm knitting, not for myself, but because my mother in law needs help getting a bunch done for charity work. Otherwise, I'd probably not be knitting right now either.
I find that I am just sitting around reading, doing crossword puzzles, or just watching movies. Hell, I carry my drawing/art supplies with me often, and I don't even take time to use them either.
What it all comes down to, is that I don't always feel that I'm living life.. I'm just going through the motions.
It's like I previously mentioned... I used to go out and look for "projects", which often turned into a new hobby. Now that I've come to the realization that I'm collecting hobby supplies, I am getting depressed about trying to find ways to entertain myself.
I think I'm going to stop working early today and shower & scrub up really good. Then get the kids from school and take them to the public library. The older one wants to go and do some research. I like going because they often have local info displayed. (Gold Mining stuff, or India/Native American displays, etc. Kind of like a mini-museum)
