WTF can't I wake up very well these days?

I have been feeling more and more tired these days.

Can't seem to fully wake up.

I'm going further and further into this.

Not only am I already using caffeine tablets these days, I also started taking Iron & more Vitamin B & B12.

I guess I'm trying to get into an alert state/high.

Without incriminating myself, if I knew of a drug that would help bring me to a better wakeful state, I would consider taking it.

Unfortunately, I don't really want to be in this state bad enough to search the Web for something like that.

Although...

Since I'm going to take the test for the Extra Class HAM radio license, I'm really tempted to try out those energy drinks.

I know that Mountain Dew often doesn't do much for me, so I wonder how much better these energy drinks will help.

Today, I need to run to the pharmacy to get some prescriptions.  I'm really tempted to pick up some Mountain Dew and/or an energy drink.

For me, the original Mountain Dew is pretty close to drinking sugary stagnant water.  It's drinkable, and with the sugar you can get it down... but since it's a green stagnant sort of color/texture... I don't know.

Perhaps I exaggerate too far...

Ok, I know that I'm over doing it.

However, the Red & Orange Mountain Dew are pretty freaking awesome!

Unfortunately, many of the retail stores no longer carry these tasty drinks.

Except almost all of them carry some form of Energy drink.

Here's your daily Irony!

Why is it that most of the local Pharmacy's carry Energy drinks and sell Cigarettes by the case?  One of them touts itself as the "corner of happy and healthy".

Maybe there's a reason why a woman is often referred to as a "cat"?

I'm sure that many of my readers are waiting on baited breath to see how much of an ass I'll make of myself.

Last night, Mother's Day of all days even, everyone was getting ready to go to bed.

I was sitting on the couch and as Ellie passed me said "You get to lock everything up... you're still up".

She has said this as a "joke" SOOO many times.

Which means last night, when I replied, "you're still up too", I was completely shocked when she flipped out!

She flipped out saying that "I told her to go and do it herself!".

Can we say, "Holy Flipping Shit Boy Wonder?"

Now Ellie is usually not like this.

Yet, recently, she runs hot/cold on stuff like... usually during a cycle that she doesn't have any visible signs that is happening.

Much like a cat, who when you're being nice and petting it, she flipped out with her verbal claws flying and stomping through the house to turn off the lights, let the dogs in/out, etc.

Actually, when she started off doing this, I just got up and did about half of our normal routine while she was doing it with her "claws" still flying.

It wasn't until she was laying there playing Pinochle on her phone after it was over that I said she's often joked about it and I thought it was silly for her to get all pissy like that.

Now you might think that's bring the claws out some more, but she finally said that she might have a migraine and dropped it.

"I like the smell of bacon! There I said it!" -Pig, Barnyard

Things are better, so far.

I'm pretty tired, but I don't feel like I'm dragging my butt across the floor like my sheltie does.

The last half of this week the lower right jaw has hurt.

Like I have been grinding my teeth at night.

Yesterday though, I noticed that it's been just tooth.

I already have an appointment with the dentist, so I'll have him look at it and possibly just pull the damn thing.

It doesn't feel so good and this morning while eating an apple, I had to chew on the other side of my mouth.

Whatever the dentist does, I really, really hope he prescribes me something for the pain, because I really don't have anything worth while for the pain.

Last night, I sat through a very, very boring meeting for Little Miss's outdoor camp at her school.

The teacher doing the presentation was doing a rather boring presentation, and was pretty much reading the freaking PowerPoint slides verbatim instead of giving general highlights of what the slide was about.

I'm starting to agree with one of my past coworkers.

Those who developed PowerPoint, should be shot, and those who use it this way should be flayed with a cat 'o nine tails.

"Take all your bad feelings and push them down, all the way down past your knees, until you're almost walking on them." - Marge Simpson

That quote comes from a Simpsons episode where she tells Lisa why she has to wear a smile.

Today, and perhaps other days, I just don't feel like I can work around others.

Dress up like I would to be at the corporate building, and put on a smile and work.

I just don't feel "strong enough".

I'm sort of depressed, but not really depressed.

It has been starting by waking up on that new mattress with my back hurting.

Also, I am having trouble sleeping... again...

Mattress aside, I'm just having trouble sleeping.

With the weather turning warm, the kids are starting to sleep downstairs, and Ellie's still working, so I can't stay up watching movies like I want to.

This and yesterday morning I woke up with head congestion.

It took hours yesterday before I started to feel well.

Today, after almost 4 hours I'm still not feeling well.

Stop the insanity... no, craziness... no, the swearing!

As you might have noticed and read, I swear.

Often too much.

Often in front/around my family.

Now, I really need to work on stopping my general swearing behaviors.

Granted, I understand and know when I am under emotional duress, that I'm going to swear.

It's a given.

However, recently, I haven't been under emotional duress, and yet, I still swear.

In fact, my swearing is so colorful sometimes, it would put the "technicolor" process out of business.

It'd be so bright, it'd be neon!

Where this is also leading, is watching too many PG-13 movies where swearing is very prevalent.

OK, not just PG-13.  Pretty much every movie, except for G movies contain multiple levels of swearing.

Unfortunately, the Misses have picked up on the language.

Mostly, Little Miss.

This is sad to me, although, I can relate.

At her age, I was already a champion at swearing!

It's hard to discipline a child when you're a hypocrite and swear.

Where she's swearing, is quoting a movie that we all enjoy.

It's just a single character that swears a LOT.

Ok, it's not just one character, but several of them.

To me, it's not that bad of swearing or number of times it happens.

It's the starkness of when he swears, and context of it.

One of the characters uses the term "Bastard", which is a legit word, but not one Ellie likes.

See, one of Ellie's nephews is a Bastard.  His mom wasn't married when he was conceived and born.

He's a great kid and is being shipped off to basic training with the US Marine Corps.

I'm proud of this man.  I guess that's what he is now.

This nephew is the same age as my oldest (shameful) daughter...

He's more of a son to me than she is a daughter.

Looping back to the swearing though.

I am working on swearing around my family and my own use of it when no one is around.

After all, if I don't do it at all, then it's not likely to slip out when everyone else is around me.

Why continue to be a hypocrite by swearing with no one around, vs when everyone is here?

If I'm alone and swear, does it matter?
