Am I or anyone else an actual "Man of Constant Sorrow"

I have often thought of the song "Man of Constant Sorrow" as my own personal theme song for several years.

Yet, a year ago, I started thinking about my life and if I really was in constant sorrow...

I wasn't!

Surely, there were a LOT of times of sorrow and pain.

Yet, there were MORE times that I experienced joy and happiness than actual sorrow, pain and helplessness. (That word has an awful lot of the letter "s", no? It still doesn't beat Mississippi for the "s" infamy.)

From my own personal experiences with depression in the bipolar world, it's really hard to try and think about anything other than the current pain and problems.

I've often heard many people say that you need to live your life in the "Now".

Then I've often heard others say to look forward for the "Future".

Another time I've heard "quit living in the past".

I suppose what I've learned is...
Look, remember and learn from the past.
Live and work on things that you can change right now.
Hope, plan and strive to change things in your future.
