Why can't she be sick some place else?

It never seems to fail...

Whenever I'm either feeling a bit down or want to really listen to music loudly, Ellie is home sick.

Some of my music she hates, but she doesn't understand that I'm working or feeling and really want to do this.

My office door is closed 99% of the time.

When she's in the bedroom, I close that door too.

It just never seems to fucking amaze me how much I resent that she's home when I'm trying to work.

I can understand during summer break that they're all home when I'm working...

It just seems to piss me off whenever she's home on a sick day.

Yesterday, on a holiday, she just pissed me off.

She was out getting her nails done, and when she returned, Little Miss and I were shopping on Amazon to let her use the $50 gift card from her birthday and playing games on her Kindle Fire.

Well, Ellie flipped out and went ape shit because we weren't outside working on our day off!

Just pissed me off to no fucking end!

So, it seems that I need to take days off during the week, whenever I'm feeling OK to do things...

The problem with that, is whenever I'm feeling good like that, I usually have a shit load of things from work to do.  So taking the day off just isn't feasible.

I need/want to build a box around my old 12v power supply so that I can protect everyone from shock and install some power supply posts for better usage.

For years & years, whenever I needed to use it for various things I had to manually solder in the wires, instead of using banana posts or clips, etc.

Well, I have a power bar with 6 sets of power posts on it.

It's actually a great thing to have.

The other option, is to take the "project" power supply I got from another HAM and get it working, so that I can have it to use too.

This other power supply has 35 Amps available instead of 10 Amps.

Either way you look at it... 10 vs. 35 Amps is pretty awesome power, and unless I'm trying to run some serious radios & power, I don't need anything beyond the original 10 Amps.

My "new" radio, which is actually an older 2 meter radio, only needs 8 Amps to run at 50 Watts of output.

50 Watts of output is a butt load of power for 2 meter!

If I lived in a flat area, this would be awesome, because I could be able to communicate with someone 50+ miles away...

Well, anyway, I should probably build and install another antenna at the house here, because I want to be able to use my original Baofeng and this new radio at the same time...

Well, not transmit at the same time, but to listen/scan with them at the same time without manually switching antennas.

The Baofeng can be tuned way up/down the frequency range it supports and transmit on pretty much every frequency.
